Always in control, the meticulous and professional Salvador Moreno is thrown for a loop when the newly hired bartender Grace Zendejas suddenly invades his family’s restaurant, and infuriatingly, his every thought. For the first time in his life, Sal is fumbling. But after recovering from a few blunders he discovers his feelings for Grace run much deeper.

Things begin to heat up between him and Grace, but then the ever-perfect Sal does something even his brothers never did—screws up royally. Now he’s scrambling to cover up a mistake he knows could cost him dearly. As his relationship with Grace grows even more serious, Sal's secret is a ticking bomb, threatening to destroy the one thing he now lives and breathes for—his relationship with the love of his life—Grace.

3 Teasers of Making You Mine:

#1
Sal rushed to the restroom and threw up. With the water running while he rinsed his face, he hadn’t heard the door open.
“How you feeling?”
He spun around, and the room spun with him, causing him to nearly lose his balance. It was a good thing he held on to the vanity for support, because his legs almost gave out on him when he saw her. This was even worse than what he’d imagined.
#2
“Have you ever been to Juarez, Mr. Moreno?” She spoke almost through her teeth. Sal wondered if she’d ever looked into interview etiquette. Did she really think her constant interruptions were going to buy her points?
“Yes, I have, actually.”
“It doesn’t get more fast paced than that, when it comes to preparing Mexican cuisine, Mr. Moreno.”
“Can you stop calling me that?” Unlike his brothers, Sal had never been short on patience, but something about her refusing to call him by his first name had begun to get to him.
Graciela slid out of the booth. Sal hurried to slide out of his side and stood up ready to face off with her.
“Will you be considering me for the position?”
“As a head chef? No. But I do need a bartender.”
If looks could kill, he’d be a stinking corpse. “When can I expect an answer?”
“Well, I’ll have to discuss it with my brother but I’ll get back to you.”
“Thank you.” With that, she spun around and walked away.
#3
Sal bolted out of his chair in reaction to that news. The guy was there all fucking weekend and he’d spent the night at her place? He ran his hand roughly through his hair. “And you’re sure it was Nevada plates?”
“Yep, I mean it could be a coincidence but—”
“Nah, it’s no coincidence that’s hi
s car.” He couldn’t believe he could be so wrong about her.
“Yeah, I didn’t think so either. So whatta ya want me to do? I could still look into it but I mean… this pretty much says it all.”
He stopped pacing and shook his head. “No. Don’t waste anymore time on her. I don’t need to know anything else. But thanks.”
The second he hung up he picked up the coffee mug on his desk and flung it across the room. Hearing it smash into a million pieces was what he needed at that moment. But it did little more to calm him.
Oscar rushed in the room. “You okay in here?”
Sal could barely control his breathing much less talk. He nodded and pointed at the door. “Just close the door will you? I need a minute.”
Oscar stared at him for a moment without moving.
“Close the fucking door!”
Oscar flinched at his booming voice but reached for the knob and walked out closing the door behind him
.

3 Short Teasers of Sarah & Angels short story "Only Eight Days" included in Making You Mine
 #1
"I’ll need you to bar tend today but not until Sarah gets here. I’ll have her take over your section.”
“Isn’t she here already?” Raul asked.
“No,” Angel wiped down the bar. “She was having breakfast with her mom this morning.”
“She was out in the parking lot when I drove in. I thought she’d be in here by now. Unless,” Raul smirked. “That guy whose arms she flew into stole her away.”
Angel turned and peered at Raul not sure if he was serious. He had the stupidest sense of humor sometimes. But apparently he was serious. “What are you talking about?”

 #2

That was strange. Who would be visiting Sarah in a cab? Then it hit him. Something began to warm his insides just as he saw her walk in. He fully expected to see Sydney walk in behind her but she was alone. He met her by the hallway leading to the back room. As soon as their eyes met he knew something was wrong. “You okay?”

#3

Even after Angel knew Sarah was home and safe in bed he couldn’t shake that feeling that something was wrong. Then he got the call.

Sarah was crying. “Please don’t be mad at me!”

His heart began to race. “About what?”

  1. Hmmm. The serious type. All work and little play. Has some issues to work through. Was hurt by a first love. ????!!??

  2. He messed up bad and is debating how on earth he's going to fix it. Maybe the girl he took home with him and found an X in the kitchen naked is what he is pondering :-)

Love the wording over the picture Elizabeth. I put the picture on the blog.

    ReplyDelete
  3. You both are very close... and Judy naked girl in kitchen... how very perceptive of you! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  4. Definitely all work and little play. But I want to say maybe he is confused on some love from the past and then he bumped into some new girl and he has hard feelings for. :)

    ReplyDelete
  5. You all will get a bigger taste of what he's like in Romero...soon. =)

    ReplyDelete
  6. Bahh I can't wait, I LOVE the cover. Do you have an exact date for them both yet. Hey my burthday is soon do I get ARC copies for my birthday;} Just kidding. You are an auto buy for me. I love all your books.

    ReplyDelete
  7. LOL Sarah btw way I love your name! ;)

No exact dates. (especially since when it comes down to it, it's out of my hands in the hands of Amazon and B&N) I'm beginning to wonder if I should give exact months anymore. Something always seems to happen just as I THINK it's ready to go. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that Romero is ready THIS month!

    ReplyDelete
  8. The cover is hot!!! Makes the waiting so worth it.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I knew the moment I saw it. "Oh that is so Sal!" =)

    ReplyDelete
  10. Don't know if I should be asking but how do you get the cover for your books? I guess what I really want to know is are they real people you know personally or just pics you find somewhere? Just curious:)

    ReplyDelete
  11. Silvas,Oh no they are all different angles of my husband! LOL Yeah right I wish! I get them online but mind you I sift through THOUSANDS before I find what I think is the perfect fit. =)

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'm excited for Romero but I can't wait to get my hands on Sal's story! He is so quiet in the other books and level headed. He's gone most of the time too so I'm very curious to see what goes on with him the whole time. I've never been so into a series that I'm actually waiting for the next book! LOL, it's crazy!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Thanks, Chani! Man I have the best readers ever! =) I'm so blessed! I just hope you guys enjoy the next two as much as you have the first three. Yep... Sal has been a bit of a mystery. But you get to know little more about him in Romero's. (Personality anyway)

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hi, the other day a Co-worker recommended Forever mine and I'm hooked!!!! Read the first book in a day. I fell so in love with these characters I had to get the other two books. It's only been a few days and I can't get enough of the Moreno gang. Keep bringing it... Though my boss might not be too happy, too much reading and not enough working lol. Love the books! God bless you and your talent!!! I'm also an up and coming writer. Hope my books are liked as much as I like your books. You really bring a ready and you keep it exciting. I'm a definite fan:)

    ReplyDelete
  15. Awwe! Thank you, AdinaRose! I'm so blessed with the best readers! I only hope I don't disappoint... or worse make you guys mad which I sometimes think as my writing takes a life of it's own. "Oh no! They're gonna be so mad!" lol =)

    ReplyDelete
  16. i really love all you books! i can't wait for Romero and Sal! Please hurry! :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. Thanks Kayla! And Romero is just about ready. I'll be making an announcement soon! =)

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hot older brother action!!!! Can't wait. Just got Romero's story sent to my kindle. Perfect timing too, I just finished In Dreams by J. Sterling. I cried like a baby! Congrats Elizabeth!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Thanks Jess! Can't wait to hear what you think! *fingers crossed!*

    ReplyDelete
  20. I got Forever Mine as a recommendation from Amazon.com and I saw the cover and thought," That guy looks pretty hot!". I love all the books, I just finished Romero, but Forever Mine I think will always be my favorite. Though Sal's book might steal the show. I am very much looking forward to Making You Mine. Like everyone else I am SO curious about Sal's life away from home and what he does. Is his story going to be a love triangle? Someone new vs some old love?? Ooooooh, the many ways my mind can wonder! Bring it on Sal!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Thanks Emily. Yeah a lot of my readers say FM has a special place in their hearts. Maybe reminds them of their first love. idk.

Sal's love interest... I'll just say this but you've probably already guessed it...is a brand new character. LOL I know I know not much of a hint. I'll start dropping hints as his release date approaches. =)

    ReplyDelete
  22. I love all the books. But my favorite was Romero. Now I can't wait to read Sal. Sal seems so level head can't wait to see some of his brother in him. I believe its there it just did not come out yet until he finds the right girl. I though it was the the shy girl that work from them. but your hint said its a new person. Just can't wait. I told all my friends the have to have your books. So I started a book club with your books and girls night out with wine and food. So I can't wait to see what's next.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Wow a book club with my books. I feel so honored and girls night out with food and wine. Sure wish I could be there! Yes we'll just say Sal is a Moreno through and through... ;)

    ReplyDelete
  24. Read Forever Mine on recommendation from Amazon, completely hooked and so in love!!! Haven't loved a book series this much since Twilight and The Hunger Games! I cannot wait for Sals book!!!! Keep em coming!!! I got all my friends hooked on your books too!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Thank you Kristyn! To have my series compared to Twilight and HG's! *swoon!* Oh the pressure! LOL Working diligently to get Sal's out and have a few surprises up my sleeve as well. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  26. I have a soft spot for Sal. He reminds me of me a little. Why do I feel like something is going on between him and that waitress at their restaurant? He felt some type of way when Alex hugged her! He might as well get married too lol. If he has sex in this book I'm going to hop around my room in joy, I swear.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Funny you noticed the waitress, Chani. That was the original thought. You have no idea how many scenes were cut from ABM at the wedding, the bonfire, the restaurant because I changed my mind. I just happened to leave that small part in and you're not the first to notice... and as for the sex...well it is Adult contemporary so uh yeah you can expect some steam. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  28. OMG! I can't wait to read it. Sal is my favorite from the brothers he just always knows what to say. I love the cover he's so cute lol.

Every time I read a book in this series I say this one can't top the next but your books prove me wrong. I've read all of them, and love them :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Thank you Alexandra!

Trust me. Every time I write a new one in the series I worry that it won't top the last. So far it seems they have. I can only hope Sal follows suit. *chews nails!* lol

    ReplyDelete
  30. Get it Sal! Steam? How about flames?! JK JK, you'll be hearing from me after I read this book though lol

    ReplyDelete
  31. I don't do flames, well... have you read Romero? lol But I I do steam... I promise that much! ; )

    ReplyDelete
  32. I can't believe I read all four books in a 8 days. I got hooked like crazy. You are an amazing Elizabeth! My favorite book is...well all of them! I love how the Sarah/Angel relationship started out slow and it involved first times. Similar to Sofia/Eric. Then the hot and intense Valerie/Alex and Romero/Izzy. I can't wait to see the perfect Sal come undone. I hope the other girls welcome ? into their group right away. Again you are awesome Elizabeth. Thank you for you're amazing stories. Please tell me you plan on making more series!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Wow 8 days! So flattered! And thank you so much! I really hope Sal lives up to the rest. And yes ? is well welcomed. ;) Oh and definitely more series to come. Very excited about them, too.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Ooooh, that teaser is good! I was also thinking the samething as Chani about the waitress, but now that I know you changed your mind I can't wait to read about the "new girl"! And did I miss your BIG annoucement??

    ReplyDelete
  35. Ohhhhh this reminds me of when Eric thought Sofie was pregnant, could he have gotten a girl pregnant. Cant wait to read

    ReplyDelete
  36. To my anonymous poster maybe... maybe not. lol
Emily, no I haven't made the announcement yet. Stay tuned! =)

    ReplyDelete
  37. I think he got a girl pregnant because he was always very specific with his younger siblings about being careful in the previous books :) Can't wait to read Sal's story.

    ReplyDelete
  38. My readers are very perceptive. ;) Just a few more weeks and you guys will know! Working on the blurb now!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Hiya, I do not want to cry (a river) :-) my imagination is running wild. Sydney can't/will not profess his love to her it's too late. More Dana drama? I do not think Angel will sleep with anyone other than Sarah. I got it... her mum goes back to jail? Dad comes back, I do not remember anything about him. Who dies? December is two days away!! I would like this before xmas pls

    ReplyDelete
  40. Wow with an imagination like that maybe YOU should be writing, Marie? =) You KNOW I can't tell you what happens. what fun would that be? But you will know, you all will...in due time...in due time! =) I'll try my damndest to get it out by Christmas, but again I can't make release day promises. December though for sure!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I love love love your books!!!! please make another series like this one!!!!!my favorite book so far is romero...needless to say...i cant wait for making you mine to come out!!!!keep writing those awesome books of yours!!:)<3

    ReplyDelete
  42. =D Thanks so much Lindsey! I wish I could share but I just took a break from my writing (the first in my next series) and I'm getting all excited. I'm already falling in love with the hero. Like I do with all my other ones! lol

    ReplyDelete
  43. Elizabeth, you are absolute;y brilliant....!!!Love your books like crazy....I did hear a lot about your books but didn't get the chance to read them somehow...Tammara Webber's view about your books pushed me to finally start reading about the Moreno brothers...I'm soooo glad that I read them....Loved everyone of them....Waiting eagerly for "cool, composed Sal"...I guess you haven't decided a release date yet???

    ReplyDelete
  44. Thank you, Shreya. It's not that I haven't decided it's all a waiting game from here on. Tammara is still reading through and critiquing as soon as she's done and I do those rewrites/edits accordingly it's off to the editor THEN when I get it back from her it's ready so it's out of my hands at the moment. In the mean time... I'm busy writing my next book. =)

    ReplyDelete
  45. He looks of course very lost in thought. He was mentioned as being sort of intimidating which I can kind of agree with in some aspects. I am guessing that we will maybe all be a little surprised when we start reading this book! Of course I could also be way off base....lol

    ReplyDelete
  46. I love the Moreno Brothers! I found your books after reading Between the Lines by Tammara Webber. Read all 4 of them in about a week! Needless to say not much sleep was had, but I just couldn't stop! Looking forward to seeing what Sal's been up to all this while.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Thank you, Christine. I'll have to thank Tammara...again. She's turned on quite a few readers to my series. I only hope some of my readers check her books out too. I LOVE Reid! Oh and btw I've already read and critiqued Good For You. LOVED it! =)

    ReplyDelete
  48. Lisa, he can be a little intimidating though he doesn't mean to be. ;) I can' wait for you guys to get to know him better!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  54. Thank you I can't wait to let you all in with what's coming up next. First I gotta get Sal out there then I'll be making announcements and putting up the cover for the first in the next series.

TV? You know my husband keeps insisting I write "A Very Moreno Christmas" Like the Brady Bunch special. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  55. Amazing books , love the Moreno brothers. So excited to read Making You Mine =)

    ReplyDelete
  56. Yeah, i think a TV special would be amazing, I'll definatley be watching it haha <3 cant wait till making you mine ... so excited :D

    ReplyDelete
  57. It's quite amazing how really good authors often end up partnering each other in critiques. I love Tamara's writing and yours. I can easily understand how you both might be able to appreciate and (positively) criticize each other's works-in-progress. It's an excellent partnership

ps. Thanks for putting my review of FM on your sidebar. I'm honored.

    (Golpo)

    ReplyDelete
  58. I have read Moreno Brother (all 4 books) about 4 times now.. I just can't get enough.. I do have to say if Sarah and Alex split up that will be a very bad end to your series with them, even though its about Sal, it just still would be wrong.. So many people love the happy endings and I for one will not like it very much, but your the writer. I just hope it is good and not bad for them two they were my favorite. I would love to read more of your books when you do..
    Thanks
    Teresa

    ReplyDelete
  59. Thank you all for your comments and I love the excitement! <3

I'm starting to fall behind on responding. Sorry I was out most of the day. Aside from being a writer I'm also a soccer mom.I was out on the field all day.

Yes. I feel very blessed to have met and be able to work with Tammara she has been an enormous help to me. And Golpo THANK you for taking the time to write a review! =)

Teresa I can understand your concern. I won't give anything away. All I will say is have tissue handy when you read. =( I'll be looking forward to your thoughts good or bad. =/

    ReplyDelete
  60. Is there anything new you can give us on the release date for MYM??? im soo excited! i cant wait to read it!!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Nothing new for now. It is still in the hands of the editor. I start to get antsy myself then I have to remind myself this one is much longer than the others AND there is a short included so she is going to take longer than the norm to edit. I'll update as soon as I know know ANYTHING new! Glad you're excited. =D

    ReplyDelete
  62. .... this side of Xmas pls :-)

    ReplyDelete
  63. Trust me I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this happens!

    ReplyDelete
  64. I can't believe how much I am looking forward to Making You Mine! I've read all books in the Moreno series and am eagerly waiting for this one. I know it will be worth the wait but I am at a point where I am checking on it everyday!!!

    ReplyDelete
  71. LOL I don't remember ever posting an exact date. Although I may have mentioned somewhere that the 20th was the day my editor promised to have it back to me and guess what? I got it back!! Now I have to go through all the edits so I'll be working fast and furiously and should have it uploaded in a couple of days! =)

    ReplyDelete
  72. Thank you for the fast reply. And i'll check back soon. Can't wait!

    ReplyDelete
  73. The interview was awesome. I trying figure out what he could have messed up big time. The only thing I can think of is getting some girl pregnant. Because he was always saying to Angel not to be stupid but I am still trying to figure it out. But soon I will know. Can't wait.

Please say there will be another moreno story, lol. You got us all addicted to this series! Ha ha! :0) thanks again so much ~ your faithful Iowa reader<3

    ReplyDelete
  92. Yep Vince and Rose. There are a few more hints about that on todays preshow going on right now on Judy's Jumbles blog. The link is on the Tour Schedule post! =)

    ReplyDelete
  93. Yes! A Rose and Vince story would be awesome! Finished MYM and I truly love Sal! I actually had tears!

    ReplyDelete
  94. This story was great. The epilogue & short story really pulled at the heart strings. So glad I happened upon this series.

P.S. I've heard u & other authors talk about & thank your beta readers. How does someone become a beta reader?

    ReplyDelete
  95. Thank you guys! I always enjoy hearing the feedback and am trying really hard to keep up responding. As far as beta readers usually its an acquaintance or close avid reader of the authors. Someone who can read through the MS in a timely manner and get back to the author in detail about what worked for them and very honestly say what didn't. Some authors have many. I have just enough because after a while too many differing opinions has my head spinning. =)

    ReplyDelete
  96. Elizabeth, you are awesome! Just finished reading MYM. LOVED IT! It was fantastic. Loved the short story at end. I've read every single one of the Moreno Brothers books. I loved them all! Every time I finished reading each book I would get sad because I want to read more. I hope you keep writing on the Moreno Brothers. =)

    ReplyDelete
  97. Thank you, Cindy. I promise you more to come. This is going to be an exciting year! =)

    ReplyDelete
  98. Hiya I LOVE your books! I was just wondering if you know when Sals story comes out on iBooks because I sooooo can't wait to find out what happens! :D

    ReplyDelete
  99. It's already uploaded to Smashwords I did so on the 5th. It takes them a few days to approve the formatting and then distribute to all 3d party channels. So it should be really soon!

Thanks for stopping by and your kind words! =)

    ReplyDelete
  100. I'm addicted. Vince and Rose HAS to happen!??

    ReplyDelete
  101. Hi,
First I must say I love your work. And eagerly await your next project. I am a huge fan of the Moreno brother series and I think I was one of the first to review it on amazon after Romero and have recommended it to many friends with a sense of humor.
I hope you don't think this the wrong way but I had an issue with Melissa's character in Sal. She is suppose to be a lawyer, a highly discipline professor (am taking about what it takes to become a lawyer) and she comes off as an uneducated groupie who is obsessed with this one guy who constantly disrespects her. I am a doctor, and I feel that's a degrading stereotype of highly accomplished women. That we cant find a good man. I think it would be nice if you can write about highly accomplished females(doctors, lawyers, teachers) not just 21 year old cooks, who find love too, I am proof of that, I am a pediatric resident, and found my prince charming, an engineer, who was born in Mexico, hence my love of the Moreno's; and am only 24 years old....if not pls don't portray them as psychotic individuals. I wanted to root for sal and gracie but could not. I just gave up and read the epilogue instead.
I hope you don't take this the wrong way but i wanted to say my piece.
Good luck with your next project.

  102. First off Ada Yes Vince a Rose is happening stayed tuned I'll make announcements in the coming months.

Second thank you for stopping by and leaving your feedback. No I won't take it the wrong way. As a writer I stick to one rule "Write what you know"
which is why I stick to Hispanic characters but I do have an imagination so I'll occasionally veer off onto the unknown. The profession I choose for my characters is based mainly on how well it would work into the storyline, believe it or not most of what happens in my stories happen as I write. Its a very strange thing but even I'm OFTEN surprised at the twists and turns my stories take. I've never heard of the sterotype of highly educated women not being able to find love. I have several in my family, including a lawyer who are in happy relationships. In Melissa's case it was more about her mental stability something that she'd been dealing with long before her education and carreer came along that made her behave the way she did. This may only make sense to other writers but I'll say it anyway. I rarely choose my characters or stories, they come to me. Most of the time my stories, characters situations are already there. It's up to me to get it down on paper. I'll be interested in hearing what you think of Roni & Noah, especially since she is a 28 year old educated woman who falls for a 19-year-old. Mind you she fights it tooth and nail! =)
